There's a lot of confusion out there about biofilms. They are not all bad, but the issue becomes more about supporting the good bacteria so that the bad bacteria (and their biofilm) don't get out of control. The most effective and natural way to control candida overgrowth will always be using a spore probiotic, preferably one that has been shown to survive 100% alive because many don't. See the link below.
The spores have the ability to produce nutrients which they selectively feed to low populations of the beneficials and that alone has been shown to increase the beneficial bacteria 10-fold. It's the job of the beneficials to eliminate a candida overgrowth, which they do quite effectively if we feed them properly. Add in the PREbiotic powder we just launched and the beneficials become exponentially greater, probably 100fold.
The bottom line is that almost all microorganisms produce biofilms, even the good bacteria. We should shift our focus on how to increase beneficial, permanent microbial residents in our guts to recondition the environment :)
